Chester - Spend a day in the nearby village of Chester, Nova Scotia. A quiet escape filled with historic architecture that has been a summer haven for the rich and famous for centuries. Local artisans and sailors continue to make this their seaside escape. Perfect for a family holiday outing or a romantic Nova Scotia honeymoon getaway.

Mahone Bay - A beautiful seaside town with its famous Three Churches and Mahone Bay Wooden Boat Festival. Grab a bite, stroll the waterfront or visit the craft stores. A great place to enjoy your Nova Scotia holiday.Lunenburg Nova Scotia, near our holiday cottages.

Lunenburg - A UNESCO World Heritage site, this famous seaside town is filled with museums, shops, great dining and amazing architecture. Home of the Bluenose and Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic.

Visit famous Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia while staying at our holiday cottages.Peggy’s Cove - Nova Scotia’s famous lighthouse is only an hour’s drive from our cottages along the beautiful shores of St. Margaret’s Bay. Enjoy the drive as you visit this world famous beacon situated on a mountain of granite overlooking the ocean.

Halifax - One of North America’s most vibrant seaside cities is only 45 minutes away from our holiday cottages. Spend the day and visit the museums and historic sites (Citadel Hill, Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Pier 21), international restaurants, and bustling waterfront.

Annapolis Valley
- For a completely different taste of Nova Scotia, take a quick ride from Chester through New Ross (visit a working farm) to the Annapolis Valley. See the farms, orchards and the world famous tides of the Minas Basin, Bay of Fundy.

Golfing - Golf is a wonderful pass-time on holiday! Take advantage of some of Nova Scotia’s beautiful seashore courses. Chester Golf Course and Osprey Ridge are both close by and available to book tee off times with less than 48 hours notice.

Kayaking
- Bring your own kayaks and launch them from the shore or rent one in the area. Mahone Bay and the Chester Basin are truly spectacular.

Biking
- The South Shore is famous for its beautiful coast biking roads, hugging the shore line and winding along inlets and coastal villages. Take a short trip from Celtic Grove's holiday cottages into Chester to plan a bigger venture to further off sites.

Walking - nature trails are available on Celtic Grove’s Cottages 10 acres, or stroll further along the beautiful Borgald's Point Road to see some of the local shore line and views of Mahone Bay. Perfect for leisurely holiday walks or those romantic honeymoon strolls!

Sailing is a Nova Scotia holiday must!Sailing - Take advantage of being in one of Nova Scotia’s most popular sailing areas - Mahone Bay.
